If you have been following my blog post then you know that I was at the Squadrills house just hours before these pictures were taken. Joking around about how Im just going to have to turn right around after some quick "rainbow baby" pictures because mama was going to go into labor.
As soon as I got there I pulled my gear out to start shooting what I could before baby Juni arrived. I was told by her doula, Tina, that she would be coming fast because Emerson came into the world super quick and she was already 5cm dialated.
An exhausted dad was a pro as well. Mike knew exactly what to do, when to do it. He loved and comforted her when she needed it, and understood when she didn't. He was right there with her the whole time!
After just a few hours of labor (I believe 3 is the lucky number), beautiful 8.8 lb Juniper Squadrille made her debut in the world. At 1:21 am we heard that first cry.
10 fingers and 10 toes we forgot to check to make sure she was really a she... SHE was, so no worries! Everyone was so happy she made it healthy and safe. Dad even shed a few tears when he first saw her. Mom just let it loose. Emerson still sleeping.
The special moments after were amazing to see as well. Juniper eat for the first time, Dad holding her for the first time, and even getting her first diaper on (many many many more to come). Im so honored, lucky and blessed to be able to be apart of this special day. Im so glad you guys picked me to be your photographer, Ill forever remember it <3.
